Barbara A. Murphy

Barbara A. Murphy has been one of our directors since July 1, 2003. She is the Chairwoman of the DuPage Republican Party. Ms. Murphy is also a member of the Illinois Motor Vehicle Review Board and a member of the Matrimonial Fee Arbitration Board. Ms. Murphy is a Milton Township Trustee and a committeewoman for the Milton Township Republican Central Committee. Ms. Murphy previously served as State Central Committeewoman for the Sixth Congressional District and has also served on the DuPage Civic Center Authority Board, the DuPage County Domestic Violence Task Force, and the Illinois Toll Highway Advisory Committee. Ms. Murphy is a founding member of the Family Shelter Service Board. As an active volunteer for Central DuPage Hospital, she acted as the "surgery hostess" (cared for families while a family member was undergoing surgery). Ms. Murphy was a department manager and buyer for J.W. Robinson's and Bloomingdale's and the co-owner of Daffy Down Dilly Gift Shop prior to retiring in 1981.
